JAFF MARKET 2025: THE NUSANTARA WAVE

INDONESIA – MALAYSIA CO-PRODUCTIONS UPTICK TAKE THE SPOTLIGHT AT JAFF MARKET

On 29 November 2025, Komet Productions launched four brand new feature film co-productions alongside Indonesian and Malaysian partners in Yogyakarta at the annual Jogja–NETPAC Asia Film Festival Market (JAFF Market). The titles presented were: Munafik Indonesia, Khurafat Indonesia, Khadam, and Badut Gendong. The launch was appropriately titled The Nusantara Wave as a homage to the stories and their connection to the region.

As the first official launch at JAFF Market, on the Plaza Stage, all eyes were on The Nusantara Wave with a considerable number of press and media documenting the event. Partnered alongside Komet Productions on the Plaza Stage were Skop Productions (Malaysia), Unlimited Productions (Indonesia), Red Communications (Malaysia), and Magma Entertainment (Indonesia) with Finas CEO Dato’ Azmir Saifuddin Bin Mutalib in attendance.
